childhood called. it wants its beads back.

Another Pinterest find with these.

My best friend once made me a necklace out of these magazine beads, and I thought it was the coolest thing ever, so I had to make a bracelet!

These were more time consuming than the dress I made today. They are just so small, and the work is tedious!

But here is the final product.

back from hiatus

I apologize to my loyal readers for my absence. You see, I burned my hand while trying to make some chicken curry a couple weeks ago, so I’ve been a little afraid to visit my kitchen. Yeah, I touched a burner like an idiot, and I was pretty sure I was going to have to just die. Added to the fact that I burned my hand, the dinner was seriously disgusting! The boyfriend and I have decided that we need to stop trying to cook really “ethnic” food. We’ll save Indian and sushi for going out, and we think we can manage Italian and American and a little Chinese.

I haven’t been doing too many creative things lately, but I’ve been getting a million ideas from this great site called Pinterest that a new friend from work shared with me. If you need/want an invitation, please let me know! It’s fantastic! That’s where I got this fabulous and easy DIY dress!

Pull out the sewing machine!

Let me just start by telling you how excited I am about this dress! It was beyond easy, and I’m so proud of it! I might make 365, so I can wear one every day! I love, love, love it!

First of all, excuse the mess in  my bedroom…

This picture is the dress by itself! I look like a really cute abstract Smurf! Haha!

This one is the dress belted, which is how I’ll actually wear it!

I want everyone to do this, so I’m sending you to the blog with the directions, Sweet Verbena! I LOVE IT!!
